Services you can access without a full assessment

The following services can be accessed without a full assessment, please use the related links for more information: 

  • Welfare Benefits/ Money Advice
  • Blue Badge applications, Inverclyde Centre for Independent Living  
  • Concessionary travel for older and disabled people

Concessionary travel travel through the nationl entitlement card is available to permanent Scottish residents where one of the following applies:

  • aged 60 years or older
  • aged between 11 and 26 years - via Young Scot, see under External links on this page

Or as a result of disability (anyone aged 5 years and over to whom one of the following applies):

  • you are blind or partially sighted
  • you are in receipt of the middle or higher rate of care component or the higher rate of mobility component of Disability Living Allowance
  • you are a Blue Badge holder
