People
The approved Regeneration Plan for the Clune Park area separates people from property and the aim is to make sure that tenants can access housing which suits their personal needs and their financial circumstances. Many tenants are unaware of their entitlement to access social housing from the local housing associations and awareness raising of their full range of housing options will form part of the re-housing information provided to residents. Accessing appropriate private rented accommodation will also form part of the re-housing information.
Rehousing Options
Inverclyde Council no longer has housing stock and we will partner with locally based registered social landlord (RSL) partners to help with rehousing tenants who wish to access social housing. The RSLs will assist tenants to access the Inverclyde Common Housing Register and the River Clyde Homes Common Housing Register where properties for let are advertised every week.
Applicants for housing have to be registered with the common housing registers before they can apply for any of the advertised houses and our partner RSLs will be glad to help Clune Park residents complete an application and to let them know what sizes, types, and locations of housing are available.
The advertised houses are in Port Glasgow and other parts of Inverclyde and include flats, houses and housing to meet specific needs. Applicants wishing to access low cost home ownership options, such as shared equity, should also register with both common housing registers.
