Licensing Forum
The Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005 requires Inverclyde Council to establish a Local Licensing Forum for Inverclyde.
The role of the Forum is to keep under review the operation of the liquor licensing system in Inverclyde and to give advice and recommendations on Inverclyde Licensing Board. This does not include reviewing, offering advice or making recommendations to any particular application or case before the Licensing Board.
There can be between 5 and 20 members of the Forum and the membership must as far as possible be representative of persons or descriptions of persons who have an interest which is relevant to the Forum’s functions including:
- Holders of premises licences and personal licences
- The Chief Constable
- Persons having functions relating to health, education or social work
- Young people
- Persons resident within Inverclyde
