Prohibition of Consumption of Alcoholic Liquor in Designated Places (Amendment) Byelaws 2021
THE INVERCLYDE COUNCIL (PROHIBITION OF CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOLIC LIQUOR IN DESIGNATED PLACES) (AMENDMENT) BYELAWS 2021
Notice is hereby given that the Scottish Ministers have confirmed The Inverclyde Council (Prohibition of Consumption of Alcoholic Liquor in Designated Places) (Amendment) Byelaws 2021 which the Council made on 27 April 2022 in terms of sections 201, 202 and 203 of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973. These Byelaws amend the Inverclyde Council (Prohibition of Consumption of Alcoholic Liquor in Designated Places) Byelaws 2010 by extending the application of the 2010 Byelaws to cover areas where housing developments have been built, or where planning permission has been granted for housing developments to be built, since 2010. These areas include: James Watt Dock and Spango Valley, Greenock; Adamston Way, Port Glasgow; the former power station site in Inverkip; and the southern boundary of Quarriers Village.
Any person contravening the Byelaws shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding level 2 on the standard scale.

The Inverclyde Council (Prohibition of Consumption of Alcoholic Liquor in Designated Places) (Amendment) Byelaws 2021 come into operation on 27 June 2022.
