Our Service
Our Home Care service is delivered 365 days a year and supports individuals to live as independently as possible at home and to achieve their personal goals.
Our fantastic team provide assistance with daily living tasks including meal preparation that may include specific feeding requirements which may have prescribed equipment, medication prompts, dressing and personal care. These roles are rewarding, fulfilling, and incredibly valuable to individuals and the wider community.
As a Social Care Worker with Inverclyde Council, you will work alongside a team of professionals within Inverclyde Health and Social Care Partnership that includes Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapist, Community Nurses, and Social Work staff.
Working for us
Our full-time salary/per hour rates are £26,218/£13.59 to £28,262/£14.65. We offer up to 34 days annual leave (depending on length of service) as well as 7 public holidays, plus access to the Local Government Pension Scheme and the Scot West credit union. Training
You will have access to full training, with funded opportunities to obtain additional qualifications in health and social care. Career progression is actively encouraged using a training and mentoring services. Inverclyde Council support successful candidates to register with the Scottish Social Services Council within 6 months of commencing employment as well as support to achieve an SVQ2 in Health and Social Care. As part of the local government pay deal, local authority staff are no longer required to pay SSSC fees.
NB This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.
Shift Patterns
We can offer a variety of shifts and contracts ranging from 10.5 hours to 35 hours per week. For those unable to commit to a regular work pattern, we can consider occasional shifts.
