Inverclyde’s Strategic Housing Investment Plan 2024 - 2029
To secure funding every local authority is required to prepare an annual Strategic Housing Investment Plan (SHIP). The SHIP reinforces the role of the local authority as the strategic housing authority and sets out the key investment priorities for affordable housing in Inverclyde over the next 5 years.
Affordable housing provided through the Scottish Government’s Affordable Housing Supply Programme is comprised of homes for social rent, for mid-market rent and for low cost home ownership. Affordable housing can be provided via new build homes, rehabilitation projects, conversions and off-the-shelf purchases of both new and second hand homes.
