Local Government Benchmarking Framework

The Local Government Benchmarking Framework (LGBF) provides evidence of trends in how Councils allocate resources, the performance of key Council services and levels of public satisfaction with the major services provided and commissioned by Councils.  The purpose of the LGBF is for Councils to work together to:

  • improve their use of performance information
  • understand variations in achievements
  • share good service

The LGBF provides data across a range of key service areas:

  • Children's Services
  • Adult Social Care
  • Corporate Services and Corporate Assets
  • Culture and Leisure Services
  • Economic Development and Planning
  • Environmental Services
  • Financial Sustainabilty
  • Tackling Climate Change
