New Local Development Plan
The preparation of the next Local Development Plan (LDP4) for the Inverclyde Council area has begun.
Development Plan Scheme and Participation Statement
The first step entailed the preparation of a Development Plan Scheme and Participation Statement. The Development Plan Scheme details the stages and programming for preparing the new Local Development Plan, what is likely to be involved at each stage, and who will be involved. The Participation Statement sets out how stakeholders are to be involved in the preparation of the new Plan. (This document can be viewed from the link on this page)
Invitation to prepare Local Place Plans
Also at the first stage, community groups will be invited to prepare Local Place Plans which are a new approach to local participation in planning which empowers communities to come together and agree how they want their area to develop and change in the future. More information on how to get involved with a Local Place Plan will be available shortly.
