Get involved with volunteering outdoors in the new year
Inverclyde Ranger service is appealing for more volunteers to join them in the new year.
Greenock Cut Conservation volunteers meet on Saturdays and help to improve the environment by doing small jobs around the Inverclyde area of Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park.
These can include habitat restoration by planting trees and removing invasive species, improving footpaths and access, monitoring various species living in the park such as birds or butterflies, and clean ups.
No experience is needed, and no commitment is required. Volunteers are encouraged to attend when they are able and to do what they can. Choose what takes your interest as tasks vary each week.

The Saturday sessions are for over 18s and people from all backgrounds are welcome. Volunteers are usually based at the Greenock Cut Visitor Centre but there are times when they work across the wider Inverclyde section of Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park.
