Festive opening hours and bin collection changes

Inverclyde Council's Municipal Buildings, all Inverclyde Council offices and the customer service centre telephone lines will close at 3pm on Tuesday 24 December 2024 and will re-open on Friday 3 January 2025 at 8.45am.

Festive opening hours at Recycling centres

If refuse collections are delayed due to adverse weather, please put your bins out by 7am each day to allow collection at the earliest opportunity. Large cardboard packaging and additional recyclates can be placed beside your blue bin for collection.

Check the council's social media channels or call the automated winter helpline on 712713 for any winter updates.

The last bulk uplift service prior to the Christmas period will be on Wednesday 18 December 2024 and the service will resume on Wednesday 8 January 2025.

REGISTRATION SERVICE (Births, Deaths and Marriages)

The Registration Office within the Customer Service Centre, will be closed on Wednesday 25 and Thursday 26 December 2024 and also Wednesday 1 and Thursday 2 January 2025.

A telephone appointment system will be in operation for death registrations only between the hours of 9am and 3pm on Friday 27, Monday 30 and Tuesday 31 December 2024 (01475 714250).

If there is a need for an emergency death registration outwith these times, please contact your funeral director who will assist you with making an appointment; alternatively you can contact the Police (101).

LIBRARIES/WATT INSTITUTION

All libraries will close at the times detailed below on Tuesday 24 December 2024. The Watt Institution will close on Saturday 21 December 2024 at 4pm. They will all re-open on Friday 3 January 2025 when the current hours will resume.
