Industrial action update: Strike suspended
Inverclyde Council has had confirmation today, Monday 12 August 2024, from trade unions that the planned strike action by waste services that was due to start on Wednesday 14 August 2024 has been suspended.
This follows a new pay offer made on Friday 9 August 2024 by COSLA, details of which can be found on the COSLA website via the link in the Other Websites section of this page.
Unions have agreed to suspend the planned strike action to consider the revised offer, which will now be put to members for a decision.
In the meantime, there will be no disruption to waste services and it is business as usual.
