International Women's Day 2023
To celebrate International Women’s Day 2023 on Wednesday 8th March, Inverclyde Council will be hosting a FREE event at The Beacon Arts Centre, Greenock. Hosted by Marion Morrison, Director & Leadership Coach of Invincible Grit, whose ethos is about empowerment and positive mindset, the evening will offer a fantastic line up of inspirational speakers who will provide an opportunity to reflect on issues affecting women today. There will be an opportunity to contribute to discussions, as well as find out more about relevant initiatives throughout Inverclyde.
This FREE event will be held in The Beacon Arts Centre, Greenock, starting at 18:00 through to 20:00. Hosted by Marion Morrison, Director and Leadership Coach of Invincible Grit, this event promises to be inspirational, positive and empowering. The line up of speakers will explore issues facing women and promote positive action for all. Everyone is welcome, so pencil the date in your diary and mark this global day with us.
• 18:00 – 18:30 – Tea & Coffee on arrival and a chance to browse exhibition stalls
• 18:30 – 19:00 – Chief Superintendent Laura Waddell of Police Scotland
• 19:00 – 19:30 – Dawn Fyfe of Wise Women
• 19:30 – 20:00 – Janice Hendrie/Collette McGeehan of Inverclyde Athletics Club
Talks will be approximately 20 minutes long with a short time allocated for discussion.
