Council Tax reminder notice error

A small number of Inverclyde residents have been issued with a Council Tax reminder notice in error.

Anyone affected by this will be contacted directly by Inverclyde Council to make them aware.

The issue affects a number of customers whose Council Tax payment was made on 6/7 July 2022 but an unintentional delay in processing these payments resulted in automated reminder notices being issued in error.

The mistake has now been rectified and all those who have been affected by this will receive a letter to confirm that their payment has been received and will be asked to disregard the reminder notice and continue to pay their Council Tax as normal.

Anyone who has been issued with a Council Tax reminder notice but does not receive this letter should not disregard the reminder notice and seek to settle their bill as soon as possible.
