Warm welcome to Ukrainian arrivals

Inverclyde Council is participating in the Homes for Ukraine scheme to support Ukrainian people caught up in the conflict by giving them safe passage and a warm welcome to Inverclyde.

Residents who have offered to be sponsors are currently being supported by the council’s refugee integration team to prepare and support families on their arrival.

Officers are also working with sponsor families to carry out necessary property and disclosure checks.

In addition, officers are working with a range of partners to offer practical help and assistance to Ukrainians and host families coming to stay in Inverclyde, including with food, clothing, education, healthcare, language support and signposting to other services.
