Storyteller confirmed for Scotland's Stories event
Storyteller Gauri Raje will give an insight into performance through telling stories at Greenock Central Library at the end of April.
The event is being organised by Inverclyde Council's libraries service in partnership with the Scottish Book Trust.
It takes place at Central Library on Thursday 28 April 2022 from 5.30-6.30pm and it is free entry but places must be booked in advance.
The stroytelling event is part of the Scotland’s Stories: Community Campfires Residency with Inverclyde Libraries and is supported by EventScotland as part of the Year of Stories 2022.
A series of events and activities are scheduled from 25-29 April as part of Scotland's Stories: Community Campfires, including storytellers, film-makers and the arrival of the Scottish Book Trust's 'Story Wagon' at the following locations, dates and times:
- Monday 25 and Tuesday 26 April, 10am–5pm: Story Wagon at Port Glasgow Library
- Wednesday 27, Thursday 28 and Friday 29 April, 10am–5pm: Story Wagon in Clyde Square, Greenock
The events coincide with and are part of Scotland’s Year of Stories 2022, which spotlights, celebrates and promotes the wealth of stories inspired by, written, or created in Scotland, recognising that stories are vital to every part of Scotland.
Every community has its own tales to tell, places to highlight as inspiration for well-known books and films, visitor attractions that showcase our literature, poetry and storytelling heritage and all kinds of places and spaces where stories, old and new, can be enjoyed.
