Grenfell Tower fire tragedy.

Council Leader Councillor Stephen McCabe said: “Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends of those who are known to have lost their lives and to those who face the agonising wait to hear of news of loved ones missing or in hospital.

“It is difficult to comprehend the scale of the tragedy or the devastation the fire has caused to so many people.

“Once again we have seen the bravery and dedication of the emergency services who put themselves in harm’s way to preserve and protect life and also witnessed the monumental efforts of the local community to do all that they can to help.”
