CONSULTATION - Gambling Statement of Principles 2025

The Inverclyde Licensing Board requires to review and publish a Statement of Principles - Gambling every 3 years in terms of section 349 of the Gambling Act 2005. The existing Statement of Principles, previously approved on 14 April 2022, is due to be reviewed prior to 14 April 2025.

At the Board’s meeting on 6 March 2025 members considered and approved the terms of a draft Statement of Principles and Local Area Profile which can be accessed via the document section of this page. Changes to the policy have been incorporated within the document and highlighted for ease of reference.   A further public consultation is currently being undertaken in relation to the draft Statement of Principles and Local Area Profile.

Any comments or objections in relation to the draft Statement of Principles and Local Area Profile should be forwarded to Anne Sinclair, Depute Clerk of the Licensing Board, Inverclyde Council, Municipal Buildings, Clyde Square, Greenock or alternatively by emailing your comments to licensing.section@inverclyde.gov.uk 

Any comments must be received by 5.00pm on 4 April 2025 and all responses will be considered by the Licensing Board before the Policy is revised and published.  Please note that we are unable to consider responses made after the closing date of the consultation.
