Initial Enquiry

Initial Enquiry –   We will respond quickly to your contact with us and when you are ready a Social Worker will come and visit you to discuss your adoption journey.

You will receive an adoption information booklet this will cover what is involved.

A Social Worker from the Adoption Team will make contact with you to confirm you have received the booklet and have had an opportunity to read this. The Social Worker will arrange a suitable time with you, to visit you at home. This will allow you to ask any further questions.

Initial Screening Report: At the home visit the Social Worker will gather information about you to form part of the initial screening report. They will discuss their recommendation whether you are ready to progress to the next step of participating with a preparation group.
