Action for Children
The Action for Children Inverclyde Children and Young People's Wellbeing Service offers support to all children and young people aged 5 to 18, through classroom-based groups, to targeted one to one person centred counselling, to help young people to increase their resilience in managing their own emotional health and wellbeing.
The counselling service is open to children and young people who wish to self-refer. Barnardo’s Nurture Service Inverclyde
Nurture Service Inverclyde is a full family support service that provides a wide range of universal and specialist opportunities on site to promote family wellbeing. Staff are skilled in delivering services to children at different ages and stages. Children and families are at the core of the work. The service has space to accommodate group work activities, individual work and also provide outreach support within the family home or in school.
Anyone can refer for family support within the early years, primary and secondary attainment services, including agencies and families for self-referrals. Kooth
Kooth offers free, safe online mental health support for 14-26 year-olds in Inverclyde. Services include 1-1 counselling/support, moderated discussion boards, activities, and journaling/goal setting tools. Sign up at Kooth.com without a referral. All support is available 365 days a year, 1-1 support is available 12:00 noon -10:00 p.m. weekdays and 6:00 - 10:00 p.m. weekends, with all other features accessible 24/7. Mind Mosaic Children & Families Therapies
Mind Mosaic Child and Family Therapies is a children’ mental health and wellbeing charity for age 0-18yrs. The team work with complex cases and with trauma and offer play therapy, filial therapy and therapeutic groups. In addition, the service works with parents and carers via family work and parent counselling. Staff are qualified and Registered Play Therapists, Person Centred Counsellors for young people and parents; CBT Therapist for young people and parents; Intensive Family Workers; and 2 BAPT Approved Clinical Supervisors. Referrals are accepted across Inverclyde from GPs/Health Visitors/Education/ the Courts/ Third sector organisations and from parents and carers themselves. Papyrus offer a 24/7 Hopeline for anyone having thoughts of suicide under the age of 35. The line is anonymous, confidential and free to call. Breathing space offer a free, confidential phone service for anyone in Scotland over the age of 16 who is feeling low, anxious or depressed. They can be reached 7 days a week on 0800 83 85 87

Samaritans
The Samaritans offer someone to talk to for anyone of any age. You can call, email or online chat as well as visit your local Samaritan’s branch to speak to someone. The phone line is available 24 hours a day and is free to use. You can call on 116 123 or email jo@samaritans.org however replies by email may take several days.
