Mind Mosaic

Counselling and therapy services for the people of Inverclyde and beyond.
1-1 psychotherapy, relationship therapy, trauma and survivor therapy, perinatal related therapy.

SAMH

SAMH (Scottish Action for Mental Health) Gateways is commissioned by Inverclyde HSCP and delivers supports to people age 16 and over who live within Inverclyde and experience varying levels of mental health issues.

SAMH Gateways operates Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, with a flexible approach, depending upon a person’s needs and identified outcomes. Support and appointments are planned in advance with a person.

A referral is required from a healthcare professional, please speak to your GP practice for more information.

 

The Anchor Inverclyde (formerly Man On)

Suicide Prevention and Wellbeing Support (Adults - Referral Required) – Man On Inverclyde.

Crisis Support is available Mondays 10-3pm and Fridays 10-3pm.

Every service is free and located at 30 Nelson Street, Greenock. Please complete a Referral Form to access the Suicide Prevention and Wellbeing Support Services.

Safe Harbour

Emotional support service and alternative talking therapy, focusing on 1-1 support and walk and talk sessions.

Community Link Workers

Supporting patients of all GP practices in Inverclyde by offering a listening ear to guide them to services that are right for them. The team provide support for any non-medical issues that impact on people’s health and wellbeing.

Please get in touch with your GP practice reception team for a referral to their community link worker (no GP appointment required). Other health and social care professionals may also offer to refer you to a community link worker.

 

Support for Alcohol and Other Drugs (both personal use and families affected)

NHS 24
Urgent care and support for your mental health distress and if your GP, pharmacy or community mental health team is closed. Can be used during any time of the day or night for people who feel despair or suicidal.

Health information for anyone living in Scotland (or visiting). The website includes self help guides, information about specific health conditions and information about services near you.

Samaritans
The Samaritans offer someone to talk to for anyone of any age. You can call, email or online chat as well as visit your local Samaritan’s branch to speak to someone. The phone line is available 24 hours a day and is free to use. You can call on 116 123 or email jo@samaritans.org however replies by email may take several days.

Breathing Space

Breathing space offer a free, confidential phone service for anyone in Scotland over the age of 16 who is feeling low, anxious or depressed. They can be reached 7 days a week on 0800 83 85 87

Text service for people in mental health distress, trained volunteers are available 24/7.

Papyrus HOPELINE

Papyrus offer a 24/7 Hopeline for anyone having thoughts of suicide under the age of 35. The line is anonymous, confidential and free to call. Support is available via phone, text, email and webchat every day.
