Community Safety Partnership
The Inverclyde Community Safety Partnership was established as a way of working together with local partners, by sharing information, to ensure communities feel safe.
The Inverclyde Community Safety Partnership Strategy Group has the overall responsibility for the delivery of community safety activities in Inverclyde. The Strategy Group comprises of membership from Inverclyde Council, Police Scotland, The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, Cloch Housing Association, Larkfield Housing Association and Link Housing Association, Oak Tree Housing Association, River Clyde Homes, The Maritime and Coastguard Agency, and CVS Inverclyde.
The Strategy group sets the outcomes and themes on behalf of the overall community safety partnership and monitors the progress of the work carried out by the Inverclyde Community Safety Partnership Coordinating Group and the Inverclyde Violence Against Women Multi Agency Partnership. The Strategy Group also provides feedback in relation to community safety related activity to the Inverclyde Alliance Board at least annually in addition to any issues remitted from the Inverclyde Alliance.
Our Community Safety Strategic Assessment 'Keeping Inverclyde Safe Together' has identified four priority outcomes for the Partnership during the period 2023/26:
Priority Outcome 1- There is a reduction in the level of violence and antisocial behaviour within our communities.
Priority Outcome 2 - There is a reduction in the number of serious accidents at home and on our roads.
Priority Outcome 3 - Communities in Inverclyde feel safe and are protected, particularly those most at risk.
Priority Outcome 4 - Strong and effective joint working arrangements across the community planning partnership are developed to promote a holistic approach to community safety
The Community Safety Partnership developed an action plan to deliver these outcomes. Improvement actions include violence reduction, fire safety, antisocial behaviour, road safety, home safety and the promotion of local and national initiaitves that focus on crime prevention and increasing safety.
