Inverclyde Council and its partners including Riverside Inverclyde and Riverclyde Homes, are at the heart of transforming the area providing services, support and advice to people and businesses. There has never been a more exciting time to live in Inverclyde, as the area undergoes an ambitious regeneration programme, giving unprecedented opportunities for prestigious, sought-after housing along the banks of the Clyde Estuary. The development will also create new marinas, water sport and other recreational facilities, riverside walkways and generally enhance the area as a first class tourism destination.

A £200 million programme of new build and refurbishment of schools is well underway to deliver on the promise that every child will be taught in a new or refurbished school by 2015 making Inverclyde a great place to bring up your family. Inverclyde Council is also committed to developing a culture of life-long learning among its residents, encouraging people to gain new skills and qualifications and take advantage of employment opportunities as they arise.
There is a sense of optimism and expectation within Inverclyde. Along the waterfront, old industrial sites are being cleared, new residential developments are being built, new leisure and retail facilities are being created and new housing is being constructed within existing communities.
