Council tax e-billing change

Council tax payers who receive their bills online are being moved to a new service.

The council has changed its council tax e-billing provider from NEC Software Solutions UK Limited to Critiqom Limited and at the same time, electronic forms will become available on the Council website

The changes are now in effect and are automatic. It means council tax bills and forms will be easier to access and use.

There are currently 2,700 customers in Inverclyde who have switched to online from paper.

To sign up for e-billing, complete a form using the link on this page, or email council.tax@inverclyde.gov.uk or call 01475 717171 and ask to make the change. You will need to provide your name, address, email address and Council Tax reference number if you know this.

Moving from paper to e-billing is more environmentally friendly and means it you can store a downloaded version of your bill to use, for example to show proof of address. It also helps the council to reduce printing and postage costs.

A special meeting of the council is scheduled for Thursday 6 March when the budget and Council Tax rates for 2025/26 are expected to be set.
