Children's Hearings Scotland is recruiting volunteers in Inverclyde
Inverclyde forms part of the North Strathclyde Children's Panel, which is currently looking for more members.
Panel members make sure that all Inverclyde’s infants, children and young people feel safe, loved, valued and respected.
The role of a volunteer panel member is to listen and make legal decisions with, and for infants, children and young people who have been referred to a children’s hearing.
They are there to ensure that the young person is at the heart of every decision taken.
The qualities you use every day are exactly what Inverclyde's infants, children and young people look for in a volunteer Panel Member. As a Panel Member, your role is to listen and make legal decisions with and for young people, and to ensure that the young person is at the heart of every decision made.
Full training is given and panel members are typically appointed for a three-year period.
Applications close at 11.59pm on Monday 24 February. Find out more about the role and how to apply by clicking on the link in this page.
