Five candidates for Ward 5 Inverclyde West By-Election
THERE will be five candidates contesting the Inverclyde West (Ward 5) seat at the 2024 By-Election.
The candidates are as follows:
- John Stuart Bennet Burleigh – Reform UK
- Ian Hellyer – Scottish Labour Party
- Robert Kirkpatrick – Scottish National Party (SNP)
- Christopher William McEleny – Alba Party
- Ted Runciman – Scottish Conservative and Unionist
The deadline for nominations for those who wished to stand for election for the Inverclyde West (Ward 5) constituency was at 4pm today, Monday 7 October 2024.
The Notice of Poll is published on the Inverclyde Council website at www.inverclyde.gov.uk/election.
The election will take place on Thursday 7 November 2024 when polls within the ward area will be open from 7am and close at 10pm.
Key dates for the election are as follows:
- Tuesday 22 October 2024: Register to vote by 11:59pm
- Wednesday 23 October 2024: Apply for postal vote by 5pm
- Wednesday 30 October 2024: Apply for proxy vote by 5pm
