Just the job for Inverclyde as council organises careers event
Job hunters are urged to come along to Greenock Town Hall on Friday as the next Inverclyde Jobs Fair takes place.
Organised by the council, in partnership with Greenock Job Centre and Skills Development Scotland, the event comes after a successful jobs fair in October which was attended by 430 people.
This Friday 26 April, there will be employers looking to hire including City Gate Construction, AC Whyte, NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, McGills, Ferguson Marine, Mar Hall, River Clyde Homes, Hunters Quay, G4S, Bute Island Foods and many more.
There will also be experts on hand to offer support people with their CVs and Skills Development Scotland will be there to offer career and training advice.
Councillor Michael McCormick, Inverclyde Council’s convener of environment and regeneration, said: “I am delighted that job hunters are being given another opportunity to speak directly to employers at the jobs fair.
“With such a wide range of employers coming along, it’s an ideal opportunity to see what is out there, explore what training or job is best for you and your circumstances and gain help and advice from partner agencies.
“We know there are many talented people out there in Inverclyde who are keen to get into the workplace or develop new skills to pursue the career they want.
“I hope they take the opportunity to come along to the jobs fair and show that Inverclyde works.”
The jobs fair is free to attend and is on from 10am to 1pm in Greenock Town Hall.
