School term dates 2023/24
School term dates for the 2023/24 academic year have been published.
It comes after the dates were agreed at the recent education committee meeting.
The 23/24 session will start back for staff on Wednesday 16 August 2023 with two in-service days.
This means pupils will return to school on Friday 18 August 2023 for one day before the first full week back.
This situation happens every few years and is very difficult to avoid.
As in previous years the council's education service has worked alongside other authorities to agree alignment of academic calendars to make it easier for families.
