Summary of Committee Remit

The Environment and Regeneration Committee has corporate responsibility for:           

• Asset management
• Relationship with voluntary sector
• Regional land use/transportation planning
• Sustainability (including Strategic Environmental Assessment)

The Committee also has responsibility for directorate planning, performance management reporting and financial monitoring for the following service areas:

• Economic and Social Regeneration
• Property Resources and Facilities Management
• Planning and Transportation
• Environmental Services

It is also responsible for overseeing the Council’s relationship with the following agencies and partnerships:

• Inverclyde Leisure
• Scottish Enterprise Renfrewshire
• Riverside Inverclyde
• Strathclyde Partnership for Transport
