The Inverclyde Council Byelaws on the Employment of Children 2004
These byelaws were made on 16 April 2004 in exercise of the powers conferred upon Inverclyde Council by s28(2) and 30(2) of the Children and Young Persons (Scotland) Act 1937. The byelaws were confirmed by the Scottish Ministers on 4 June 2004 and came into force on 21 June 2004. The byelaws contain provisions regarding the employment of children in the Inverclyde area.

The Inverclyde Council Byelaws for the Regulation of the Cleaning of Common Property 2005
These byelaws were made on 11 February 2005 in exercise of the powers conferred upon Inverclyde Council by s92 of the Civic Government (Scotland) Act 1982. The byelaws have been confirmed by the Scottish Ministers and came into force on 11 March 2005. These byelaws deal with the regulation of cleaning of common property i.e stairs, basements, closes, water closets and paths within blocks of flats in the Inverclyde area.
PROPOSED REVOCATION OF BYELAWS
THE INVERCLYDE COUNCIL
BYELAWS FOR THE REGULATION OF CLEANING OF COMMON PROPERTY
Notice is hereby given that, on 13 June 2024, Inverclyde Council agreed a proposed resolution to revoke the Inverclyde Council Byelaws for the Cleaning of Common Property in terms of section 202C of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973. These Byelaws were made by the Council on 15 November 2004, confirmed by the Scottish Ministers on 11 February 2005 and came into force on 11 March 2005. A copy of the Byelaws can be viewed at https://www.inverclyde.gov.uk/byelaws. Inverclyde Council have reviewed the Byelaws and consider that these should now be revoked as there is no longer any requirement for such Byelaws in Inverclyde.
Any objections to the Council’s proposed resolution to revoke the Byelaws must be notified in writing to the Head of Legal, Democratic, Digital and Customer Services, Inverclyde Council, Municipal Buildings, Clyde Square, Greenock PA15 1LY. Objections must be received by 23 September 2024.
