Sexual Health
Health Improvement services want people in Inverclyde to be well informed about sexual health and wellbeing and aware of the effects of risky sexual behaviours, across all age groups.
We deliver components of a comprehensive programme on the topic of sexual health and relationships from Primary 1 children through to sixth year pupils in partnership with education staff. We also deliver sexual health information workshops for parents, contribute to work to reduce Teenage Pregnancy and support young women through the Girl Power Programme.
We also raise awareness of the local sexual health clinical services provided by Sandyford. A local partnership group oversees all of this work.
