Prevention and early detection of Cancer
The Health Improvement team want to increase awareness across Inverclyde of how to prevent cancer, to increase awareness of how to recognise the early signs of cancer and what to do if signs of cancer are recognised.
We also want to ensure as many people in Inverclyde access cancer screening programmes for bowel, cervical and breast. We know the earlier cancer is found the better chance people will survive and recover. We also implement national cancer awareness programmes across Inverclyde.
