Oral Health
Health Improvement deliver training to Early Years staff, Childminders and Childcare Students on the National Standards for Toothbrushing Programme. The toothbrushing programme is delivered across all early years establishments on a daily basis and standards are monitored three times every year. Oral Health Education sessions for children and parents are delivered as part of the programme, including introductory visits to a dental surgery.
We also work in partnership with the Oral Health Directorate to support the Fluoride Varnishing Programme in specific early years establishments.
