Inverclyde Support at Home
Our service is tailored to meet your individual needs and focuses on helping you develop life skills as well as achieving your personal outcomes.
To use our service you must have a learning disability, and already live in your own tenancy, or be planning to move in the near future.
This service does not provide 24 hour support, therefore you must be able to stay overnight on your own.
We work hard to support individuals to live the life they want within their community, we strive to make a difference to the lives of the people we support.
Support is provided to promote your independence. This can include support to:
- Budget your money
- Shop
- Manage benefits
- Attend appointments
- Prompt with housework and personal care
If you have a problem we can help you.
If you are socially isolated we can access befrienders or you can attend the team’s Get Up and Go social group. We can also refer service users to Learning Disability Day Opportunities, College, Parklea, Unity Enterprise or Supported Employment services.
The Supported Living service is available Monday to Thursday 8.40 am to 5.00 pm, Friday from 8.40 am to 4.00 pm. For out of hours emergencies you are offered a Community Alarm.
We strive to ensure that people with a learning disability are treated equally and fairly, with the same opportunities in life as everyone else.
