What is the Children's Panel?

The Children's Panel is a group of specially selected volunteers who make decisions about children who have been referred to children's hearings. In Inverclyde, there are currently 58 Panel members headed by a Panel Chair. Panel members normally serve in the area in which they either live or work.

To meet the statutory requirement for balanced Panels, we would encourage both men and women to pursue an interest in this very important voluntary work by applying to become Panel members.
