Visit the park and over 100 square miles of scenic Scottish countryside to enjoy a walk, run, cycle, some accessible outdoor activities or just relax with a coffee and enjoy the view.

Our dedicated ranger service are on hand to look after these areas of natural beauty, help make them sustainable and guide visitors to make the most of the outdoor spaces we are lucky to care for.

Summer of Fun 21

This summer, our rangers service is offering weekly family activity sessions. Details and booking information is listed below.

Friday 2 July - 10am-12pm - Summer Shenanigans – bird box building

Learn how to make your very own basic bird box with the help of the rangers. You will even get to take the box home to put up. All tools and equipment will be provided. Come prepared for inclement weather

Venue: Greenock Cut Visitor Centre

Suitable age range: 8+

Capacity: Limited to 12 child spaces and parent or guardian to assist in session.

 

Friday 9 July - 10am-12pm - Summer Shenanigans – Mini beast safari

Come on safari with the Rangers and discover the amazing insects and little critters that leave in the hills and waters of Inverclyde. All tools and equipment will be provided. Come prepared for inclement weather.

Friday 16 July - 10am-12pm - Summer Shenanigans – rock pooling

Join us at Lunderston Bay and discover the amazing creature that call the beach home. All tools and equipment will be provided. Come prepared for inclement weather.

Friday 23 July - 10am-12pm - Summer Shenanigans – kite making

The great things about hills is that they are windy so perfect for kite flying. Let our Rangers show you how to make your very own and fly it at the Visitor Centre. All tools and equipment will be provided. Come prepared for inclement weather.

Friday 30 July - 10am-12pm - Summer Shenanigans – Den building

Try your hand a bit of tarpology and see what kind of shelter you can come up with a tarp and natural materials. All tools and equipment will be provided. Come prepared for inclement weather.

Friday 6 August - 10am-12pm - Summer Shenanigans – Geocache Challenge

Use a GPS to find some hidden puzzles and see if you can work out what they mean. All tools and equipment will be provided. Come prepared for inclement weather.
