What is Procurement?
Procurement can best be defined as the process of obtaining supplies, services and construction works spanning the life cycle of the asset or service contract.
We define the life cycle as being from the initial definition of the business need through to the end of the useful life of the asset or service contract.
The Council will procure the best value for supplies, services and construction works.
These pages include information on the regulations that the Council uses to promote transparency and fairness in its procurement procedures and mentions some of the controls by which it safeguards the use of public funds.
The aim of the following pages are to assist current and potential suppliers who wish to supply Inverclyde Council with goods and services.
