Quarterly Report |

There was submitted a report dated 9 January 2002 by the Director of Finance Services on the work undertaken to date by the Internal Audit Team in partnership with PricewaterhouseCoopers under the new reporting arrangements. |

|
Decided: (1) that the Committee welcome the progress made by the Internal Audit Service as detailed in the report; and (2) that it be agreed to submit future reports to the Sub-Committee on a quarterly basis. |
|
|
It was agreed in terms of Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government
(Scotland) Act 1973 as amended that the public and press be excluded from the
meeting for the following item on the grounds that the business involved the
likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 8 of Part I
of Schedule 7(A) of the Act. |

Building Services Revenue Budget |

There was submitted a report dated 18 January 2002 by the Director of Legal & Support Services appending a report on the position of the Building Services Revenue Budget as at Period 8 (14 November 2001) which the Social Work & Housing Committee on 15 January 2002 had remitted to the Sub-Committee to enable it to examine the position in detail. |

|
Decided: (1) that the report be noted; and (2) that a cross party Working Group be
established to review the position of the Council’s DLO’s and DSO’s within
current and potential future operating frameworks, the membership also to
include the relevant Directors and other Senior Officers and representatives
of the appropriate Trade Unions. |
