In attendance:- The Depute Chief Executive, Mr A S Grant (for the Director of Central Services), Mr A Puckrin (for the Director of Finance) and the Director of Housing and Customer Services.

 

1141      HOUSING - JOBBING REPAIRS EXPENDITURE                                                                             1141

 

SUBMITTED:  Report dated 29 September 1997 by the Director of Finance on a remit from the Social Work and Housing Committee of 26 August 1997, when the Director of Finance was instructed to submit a report to the Sub-Committee explaining the background to a projected overspend on housing jobbing repairs within the Housing Revenue Account.

DECIDED: 

(a)  That the contents of the report be noted; and

(b)  That it be remitted to the Directors of Finance and Housing and Customer Services to submit a report to the January meeting of the Sub-Committee providing a detailed analysis of

jobbing expenditure and the relationship between capital expenditure and jobbing expenditure over the 15 housing zones in Inverclyde.

 

1142      HOUSING REPAIRS AND RENEWALS FUND                                                                                 1142

 

SUBMITTED:  Report dated 26 September 1997 by the Director of Finance on a remit from the Social Work and Housing Committee of 26 August 1997, that the Sub-Committee consider the current position of the Housing Repairs and Renewals Fund.  The report indicated the projected position of the Fund as at 31 March 1998 and drew attention to the likely impact if this was utilised to finance a projected deficit in the Housing Revenue Account of £820,530. DECIDED:

(a)  That the report be noted; and

(b)  That the Director of Finance submit a further report reviewing general charges for services which are made against the Housing Revenue Account.
