Area Renewal: ABC Site,
Greenock |

There was submitted a report dated 10 June 2004 by the Depute Chief Executive (1) on the outcome of discussions with Communities Scotland on the future uses of the ABC site, Greenock and the financial implications for the Joint Investment Strategy as agreed by the Committee at the meeting held on 25 May 2004 (para 410) and (2) advising that Communities Scotland supports the integrated development of the ABC and Wren Road sites for mixed tenure housing in accordance with a masterplan, the northern portion of the ABC site being designated for community care provision with the remaining portion of the site being secured for open space and environmental improvement. |

Decided: |
|
|
(1) that approval be given to the integrated development of the ABC and Wren Road sites for mixed tenure housing incorporating community care provision and open space and environmental improvement within the ABC site as outlined in the report and that it be remitted to the Depute Chief Executive to liaise accordingly with Communities Scotland; and |
|
|
(2) that it be remitted to the Depute Chief Executive to approve the details set out within the report for the development of a masterplan for the ABC and Wren Road sites, incorporating provision for a community care element at the north end of the ABC site and social rented and owner occupied housing in the adjacent Wren Road site, and to submit a report thereon to the Committee for approval in due course. |
