The following paragraphs are submitted for information only, having been dealt with under the powers delegated to the Sub-Committee.

It was agreed in terms of Section 50A(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 as amended, that the public and press be excluded from the meeting for the following item on the grounds that the business involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 5 of Part I of Schedule 7(A) of the Act.

Review of Decision of Director of Education Services under Regulation 11 of the School Pupil Records (Scotland) Regulations 1990

There was submitted a report by the Director of Education Services on a request for a review of his decision to refuse a parent access to the school pupil records of two of his children in terms of Regulation 11 of the School Pupil Records (Scotland) Regulations 1990.  The Sub-Committee decided to uphold the decision of the Director of Education Services to refuse access to the school pupil records, all as detailed in the Appendix.
