Education Services Committee - Shortlisting Sub-Committee

Present:  Provost Roach, Councillors Campbell and Robertson (A).

Chair:  Councillor Robertson (A) presided.

In attendance:  Director of Education Services and Personnel Manager (Operations).

The following paragraphs are submitted for information only, having been dealt with under the powers delegated to the Sub-Committee.

It was agreed in terms of Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 as amended that the public and press be excluded from the meeting for the following item on the grounds that the business involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 7(A) of the Act.

Appointment of Head of Service, Education Services

The Sub-Committee interviewed the following 4 candidates:

1.  Alexander Cunningham, Glasgow City Council

2.  Albert Henderson, Inverclyde Council

3.  James McCaffrey, East Ayrshire Council

4.  John McDonald, Renfrewshire Council

Decided: unanimously to appoint Albert Henderson to the post of Head of Service, Education Services.
