In attendance:-  The Director of Education Services, the Director of Central Services and Mr H McNeilly (for the Director of Legal and Support Services).

1105      IMPROVING OUR SCHOOLS - CONSULTATION ON THE IMPLICATIONS OF THE               1105

              SCOTTISH EDUCATION BILL - RESPONSE BY INVERCLYDE COUNCIL                                        

 

SUBMITTED:  Report dated 12 October 1999 by the Director of Education Services summarising the proposals contained in a draft Bill for consultation entitled “Improvement in Scottish Education”, detailing comments and a suggested response for submission to the Scottish Executive Education Department as part of the consultation process.

DECIDED:  That the report be approved and submitted as the Council’s response as Education Authority to the proposed Bill.
