Education & Lifelong Learning Committee - Shortlisting Sub-Committee

Present Also:  Councillor White. 

Chair:  Councillor Mitchell presided.

In attendance:  Chief Executive and Mr A Moore (Personnel Manager).

The following paragraphs are submitted for information only, having been dealt with under the powers delegated to the Sub-Committee.

It was agreed in terms of Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 as amended, that the public and press be excluded from the meeting for the following item on the grounds that the business involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 1 of Part I of Schedule 7(A) of the Act.

Shortlisting and Arrangements for Interview of Applicants -

Post of Director of Education Services

There were submitted copies of applications received from five candidates for the post of Director of Education Services.  The Sub-Committee decided, with Councillors McCabe and Robertson intimating their dissent, to call a shortlist of four candidates for interview and thereafter make an appointment, all as detailed in the Appendix.
