Port Glasgow Civic Square |

|
There was submitted a report dated 24 November 2003 by the Depute Chief Executive on proposals by JJ Gallagher Ltd relative to the civic square for the development at Port Glasgow. |

Mr Tony Wagstaff, Development
Director, JJ Gallagher Ltd was present together with Mr Ben Palmer, Messrs
Lovejoys Landscape Architects. Mr
Wagstaff made a presentation on the civic square proposals and then answered
a number of questions from Members. (Councillors Mitchell, Hunter and McCormick and Provost Rebecchi entered the meeting during consideration of this item of business). |

Decided: that the Council as landowner approve in principle the proposals by JJ Gallagher Ltd for the Civic Square and that authority be delegated to the Depute Chief Executive to make the detailed arrangements for the developer's provision of a suitable water feature, the depiction of historical information related to Port Glasgow, a temporary canopy structure and fixings for the performance area and fencing around the Comet. |
