There was submitted a report dated 22 November 2000 by the Director of Resource Services on the position of the Revenue Budget 2000/2001 as at 18 October 2000.

There was submitted a report dated 10 November 2000 by the Depute Chief Executive on the technical progress of the Capital Programme 2000/2001.

Capital Programme 2000/2001 - Financial Position

There was submitted a report dated 17 November 2000 by the Director of Resource Services on the financial position of the Capital Programme 2000/2001. 

 

 

Decided:  that the report be noted and that a further report be prepared for submission to the Committee regarding action which can be taken in respect of additional funding for roads maintenance, lighting maintenance and the provision and maintenance of street name plates to allow the Committee to consider the submission of a report to the Policy and Strategy Committee for additional funding for such works within the current financial year.

Consultative Draft of Argyll and Bute Structure Plan: A Response

There was submitted a report dated 22 November 2000 by the Depute Chief Executive advising of the publication of the Argyll and Bute Structure Plan Consultative Draft in August 2000 and recommending a response to matters raised under the plan which may affect Inverclyde.

 

 

Decided: 

(1)  that the terms of the report and its conclusion be approved as a basis of a response to the plan; and

(2)  that authority be delegated to the Head of Planning Services to liaise with Argyll and Bute Council on matters of mutual interest arising from the plan including those relating to transportation links and tourism.

Street Naming

There was submitted a report dated 13 November 2000 by the Depute Chief Executive on the proposed naming of the street within the housing development at Drumfrochar Road, Greenock.

 

 

Decided:  that the name Killochend Drive be adopted as shown on the plan appended to the report.

Local Transport Strategy First Report

There was submitted a report dated 17 November 2000 by the Depute Chief Executive on the progress of the formation of the Local Transport Strategy First Report.

 

 

Decided:

(1)  that the work carried out in the formation of the Local Transport Strategy First Report be noted and

(2)  that the Local Transport Strategy First Report be approved.

There was submitted a report dated 17 November 2000 by the Depute Chief Executive on the progress of the formation of the Road Traffic Reduction Act 1997 First Report.

 

 

Decided:

(1)  that the work carried out in the formation of the Road Traffic Reduction Act First Report be noted and

(2)  that the Road Traffic Reduction Act First Report be approved.

There was submitted minute of meeting of the Strathclyde Passenger Transport Authority of 4 August 2000.

It was agreed in terms of Section 50(a)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 as amended, that the public and press be excluded from the meeting for the following items on the grounds that the business involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in the respective paragraphs of Part 1 of Schedule 7(A) of the Act as are set opposite each item.
