Director of Central Services), Mr A Puckrin (for the Director of Finance), the Director of

Legal Services, Mr S Allan (for the Director of Leisure and Recreation) and the Director of

Personnel Services.

SUBMITTED: Report dated 24 March 1997 by the Assistant Chief Executive (Contract

Services) advising the Committee of the progress made by the Contract Services Division

since January 1997.

SUBMITTED: Report by the Assistant Chief Executive (Contract Services) advising the Committee that the Contract Services Division intends to reintroduce apprenticeship training within the Division in the 1997/98 financial year, subject to the necessary funding being available.

DECIDED:

(a) That the report be noted; and

(b) That the Assistant Chief Executive (Contract Services) submit a further report detailing costs and the availability of external funding for the scheme.

SUBMITTED: Report dated 27 March 1997 by the Director of Finance advising the

Committee of the action taken in respect of the purchase of leased vehicles in terms of the

procedure under Standing Order 66.

On the motion of the Convener, it was agreed unanimously that, in terms of Section 50(AX4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973, the public and press be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the undernoted item of business on the grounds that consideration of the item involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 8 of Part I of Schedule 7(A) of the Act.

     420       REVENUE BUDGET 1996/97 - MONITORING REPORT                                                                     420

 

SUBMITTED: Report dated 25 March 1997 by the Director of Finance on the position of the

Revenue Budget 1996/97 as at 28 February 1997.

DECIDED:

(a) That the current position of the Revenue Budget be noted; and

(b) That the Director of Finance report back to the Committee on the actual performance of

the individual DLO/DSO’s during 1996/97, following completion of the year end accounts.
