INTERVIEW SUB-COMMITTEE CONTRACT SERVICES

Present:- Councillors O’Rourke, Mulholland and Campbell, Councillor Mulholland, Convener, in the Chair.

In Attendance:- The Assistant Chief Executive (Contract Services), Head of

Operations (Indoor Services) and Mr A Moore (for the Director of Personnel

Services).

575 RESOLUTION: EXCLUSION OF PUBLIC AND PRESS 575

On the motion of the Convener it was agreed unanimously that, in terms of Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973, the public and press be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the undernoted item of business on the grounds that consideration of the item involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 1 of Part I of Schedule 7A of the Act.

576 APPOINTMENT OF HOTEL SERVICES MANAGER 576

SUBMITTED: Copies of applications and references of 8 candidates for the post of Hotel Services Manager. The Sub-Committee was advised that Mrs Bissett had withdrawn her application for the post. The following candidates were interviewed:

1. E Andrew, General Manager, Gardner Merchant Food Services;

2. G Atkins, Operations Manager (Scotland), Aramark PLC;

3. M Clewley, Senior Training Officer, The Inverclyde Council;

4. C Majoribanks, Contract Services Manager, Contract Services, Sultanate of Oman;

5. M McBride, Area Manager, Catering Direct, The Inverclyde Council;

6. G McDonald, Hotel Services Manager, Glasgow Nuffield Hospital;

7. E Shields, Hotel Services Manager, Inverclyde Royal Hospital.

After. discussion, the Sub-Committee agreed that Mrs E Shields be offered the

post of Hotel Services Manager on. the appropriate terms and conditions.

DECIDED: That Mrs E Shields be appointed Hotel Services Manager on the

appropriate terms and conditions.
