There was submitted a report dated 21 February 2003 by the Director of Finance on the position of the Revenue Budget as at Period 11 (5 February 2003). |

There was submitted a report dated March 2003 by the Director of Community & Protective Services on the up to date position in respect of the Capital Programme 2002/03 to 2003/04. |

There was submitted a report dated 27 February 2003 by the Director of Community & Protective Services on the proposed increases in the charges for 2003/04 for facilities and activities within Leisure & Community Support Services. |

Decided:
(1) that the prices shown in the scale of charges appended to the report for 2003/04 be approved; and |
|
|
(2) that it be remitted to the Director of
Community & Protective Services to provide a further report on the review
of charges and letting policy in due course. |

Food Standards Agency Audit |

There was submitted a report dated 6 March 2003 by the Director of Community & Protective Services advising of the outcome of the second audit of Inverclyde Council's food safety service carried out on 11 and 12 December 2002. |

Decided:
that the contents of the report be noted and that the action plan set
out in Appendix 1 of the report be approved.

Strategic Waste Fund Bid 2002/03 and
Outline Implementation Plan |

|
There was submitted a report dated 6 March 2003 by the Director of Community & Protective Services advising of the successful bid for additional resources from the Strategic Waste Fund in this financial year and putting forward a suggested implementation plan to form the basis of a bid for longer term funding from the Strategic Waste Fund. |
|
|
Decided:
that the success of this year's Strategic Waste Fund Bid be noted and
the outline implementation plan detailed in paragraph 3 of the report be
approved. |

Grants to Voluntary Organisations |

|
There was submitted a report by the Director of Community & Protective Services advising of the change of Committee remit in respect of grants to voluntary organisations and suggesting a new way forward for dealing with the grants. |
|
|
Decided:
(1) that the new remit in respect of grants to voluntary organisations for the Committee be noted; and |
|
|
(2) that a Grants Sub-Committee be established
comprising five Members with full delegated powers to take decisions on
applications received for this budget: membership being three Members from
the majority group and two Members from the minority groups. |
|
|
It was agreed in terms of Section
50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 as amended, that the
public and press be excluded from the meeting for the following items on the
grounds that the business involved the likely disclosure of exempt information
as defined in the respective paragraphs of Part I of Schedule 7(A) of
the Act as are set opposite each item. |
