Preventing Household Waste in Scotland

A Scottish Executive Consultation

There was submitted a report dated 3 May 2006 by the Director of Community Services (1) advising of the Scottish Executive Consultation Paper on preventing household waste in Scotland and (2) appending the Council’s response which had been submitted to the Scottish Executive by the required date of 28 April 2006.

 

 

Decided:

 

 

(1)   that the Sub-Committee note the extent of initial development of the ideas in the Consultation Paper; and

 

 

(2)   that the response submitted on behalf of the Council to the Scottish Executive be noted.

Waste Strategy Progress Report

410

 

 

 

 

There was submitted a report by the Director of Community Services on the progress to date of the Waste Strategy Initiative.

 

 

Decided:

 

 

(1)   that the contents of the report be noted; and

 

 

(2)   that it be remitted to the Director of Community Services to instigate a review of how best to improve civic amenity sites throughout Inverclyde.
