DRUMFROCHAR: PROVISION OF A NEW RAIL STATION |

SUBMITTED: Report dated April 1997 by the Director of Transportation and Roads summarising and evaluating a number of possible sites for the location of a new station on the Wemyss Bay Branch Line to serve the Drumfrochar area of Greenock and requesting the Committee to identify its preferred site.
DECIDED: That the Committee endorse the site on the north side of the railway line and east of the Peat Road overbridge (site 2) as the preferred site for the new rail station to serve the Drumfrochar area.
